Checklist Update
Latest Update: 5/2/03

If you don't already have Map List (demo or live version), click here to download it.  It includes the latest checklist update.

Free demo users:

1.      Download the update archive file here (654 kB). Double-click on it in Windows Explorer to create the new NA_DEMO.LL file which contains the checklists.

2.      Move NA_DEMO.LL to the directory where you installed Map List (by default, C:\Program Files\MapList). Replace the existing file.

Licensed users:

  1. Download the update archive file here (608 kB). Double-click on it in Windows Explorer to create the new UPDATE.PLA file which contains the checklists.
  2. Move the file to the directory where you installed Map List.
  3. If you haven’t already done so, update your file for the Fall 2002 A.O.U. changes.
  4. Within Map List, go to Places / Add in the menu and select the file (UPDATE.PLA).  It will take a moment or two to load. One or two species names may have been corrected in the update but not in your life list file.  In that event, you will be prompted to enter the name as it appears in your file.  In some cases, this is just removing an “s”, as in xantus’s hummingbird (correct) becoming xantus’ hummingbird (old, incorrect).
